Funtimes in Photos

Here's a massive photo drop!

I can't get enough of those teeth!

Cooper telling Liv how Costco Pizza is made.
Liv wasn't very interested.

Cooper has a corner for all of his toys &
books. His room is feeling more & more
like a big boy room.

Cooper loves it when Daddy reads to him.

Taking over Moose's bed.

Enjoying his puzzles from Grandma

Cooper knows how to push Moose's buttons.
Moose has been patient for SO very long.
I felt terrible for Coop & Moose. Both seemed
to forget the incident in minutes. (photo doesn't
really show the damage)

Moose hiding from Cooper.

Snuggling up with Daddy after our dinner at Olive Garden.

Being silly.

We've been making an awful lot of homemade
ice cream. Kyle share with Cooper. Me?
Well it depends on the day. :)

Uncle Bryant & Auntie Jilli came to visit!

Moose & Coop dominating Uncle Bryant's air mattress.

Auntie Jilli reading to Coop. :)

Cooper's first time eating a cracker all by
himself. It was so cute to watch. He figured
out how to bite it. He was pretty proud of
himself & so was I! (If you know Coop,
you know that food doesn't stay in his hands
or mouth for very long. It's swallowed immediately)
Cooper busted his lip open on Saturday. It was
our first 'major' injury. It bled like crazy but I
believe Sesame Street heals everything for Coop.

:)

Cooper playing peek a boo with our curtains.
It's a daily occurrence.
So there's the last month or so in pictures. As if you hadn't gathered previously, Coop is the star of the show around here. :) Moose plays second fiddle.

A few things NOT pictured:
-Weekly Library visits
-sweaty walks with Moose
-Cooper's breakdowns when we don't get pizza at Costco (the kid already knows!)
-Visit to Kyle's work
-Cooper walking (more on that in another post-if I remember)
-All the books I've read
-All the books Cooper has read
-Late nights with Kyle watching the Olympics
-the enormous amounts of food consumed due to the previous listed item.
-visit from Poppa Marc
-& much much more!

5th Anniversary Part 2

Our weekend of celebrating continued on Saturday. We spent the day with Mom & Cooper shopping, eating, hanging out, etc. Before we knew it, it was time to head down to Lakewood Amphitheater for the Jimmy Buffett Concert!! (For those of you that don't know, Jimmy B is my all time fave)

It was so fun to have another night to ourselves. We got the concert early so we could be one of the first into the amphitheater to throw our blanket down in the grass to claim our seats. (We had general admin tickets) The weather was perfect. The best weather we've ever had for a concert! & the atmosphere was full of  fun & excitement. After a busy day it was nice to just lay/sit on our blanket & relax/people watch while waiting for the show to begin.
Some of the Coral Reefers drove by
before the concert!

Waiting for the show to start!

Jimmy Buffett!
Lounging at the Lagoon 2012
Zac Brown joined in for a couple of songs!

Loving every minute of it!

"Fins to the left, Fins to the right..."
The concert was Ah-mazing. Seriously. I may be borderline obsessed. I just love being a Parrot Head! I danced & sang the night away like I was on the first row or even on stage with Jimmy & the crew! ha! It was awesome. Don't worry I didn't forget about Kyle. I know he had a good time too but he later stated that this was probably his last Jimmy B concert. I guess 3 was enough for him. Sad day.

After the concert we were STARVING! So on the way home we pit stopped at the Varsity. The greasy goodness of a pimento cheeseburger topped with onion rings just hit the spot. (& it would totally hit the spot right now too!) I guess all that singing about cheeseburgers at the concert got to us. :)

It's ridiculously good.

Thanks to Kyle for putting up with your Jimmy B obsessed wife for another year. :) I kept thinking back to this time last year when we missed the concert due to Cooper's birth. (Coop was due the day of the concert but decided to come a couple of weeks early so he could listen to it) Last year I was at home holding & singing to Cooper while we listened to the concert on Radio Margaritaville.

Time has flown by this past year (& since we've gotten married). I'm so grateful for the time Kyle & I have had together thus far & can't wait to see what the future holds especially now that we have Cooper. I love you, Kyle!

P.S.
Our 1st & 5th year anniversaries were spent pretty similar: ATL, Braves Game, Varsity, & Jimmy B Concert. There were a couple of key factors that made it different. No Bryant & no Jenni. :( They were sorely missed!
The ONLY pic I could find of ALL of us at "The Year of
Still Here" Jimmy B Concert 2008.

5th Anniversary Part 1

Happy Anniversary to us! On June 8th, Kyle & I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary. 5 years. Wow! I can't believe how fast the time has flown by. It seems even crazier that we met each other/started dating over 7 years ago. We've had so much fun together even if we do drive each other a little bonkers at times. Good thing we love each other! :) I love you, Kyle. "Come grow old with me, the best is yet to be"
I put together some pictures of us over the years.

We kicked off our Anniversary weekend on June 8th with a Braves game. Mom came to town to help us out with Cooper so Kyle & I could have some much needed us time. Friday night was awesome! I packed a bag of snacks & jumped on the train to meet Kyle downtown for our night at "the old ball game." We got to Turner Field early enough to watch the retiring of John Smoltz's number. It was so neat to see him & some of the other players I remember from my youth. It made me think of my grandma & miss her dearly. She LOVED watching the Braves.

The game was fun! We sat in the outfield & waited for a homerun to be hit our way but no luck. We had some funny fans sitting around us so we were definitely entertained. :) The weather was perfect! After a few hours of clapping, yelling, eating, tomahawk chopping, & laughing we decided to call it a night. We'd planned on staying for the fireworks after the game but didn't quite make it to the end of the game. We had a 45 min ride home on the train & a busy Saturday planned so we left in the 8th inning. The Braves beat the Toronto Blue Jays. Woo hoo!

This is Chipper Jones' last season playing baseball. :( He was injured this game. We are hoping to make more games this season, especially to see Chipper before he retires!

Take a Hike!

That's exactly what we did Saturday afternoon. We had to take advantage of the beautiful weather so we headed outdoors to Kennesaw Mountain. The state park was beautiful! I get pretty excited when I see acres of lush grass & green trees. (we don't have a lot of that at our current residence)

We started up the mountain trail with Cooper hitching a ride on my back. Kyle & I took turns carrying him. I know Cooper had a great time taking it all in. There were countless dogs being walked on the trail. We swear Cooper pointed to a few & said "Dog." It always happened when we weren't paying full attention to him so when we'd try to get him to say it again he wasn't interested. Go figure.

The trails were so pretty & fortunately very shaded. It was so nice to just enjoy nature as a family. Oh how I love family time!

At the top of Kennesaw Mountain we looked down over Marietta. In the distance we could see Stone Mountain, Sandy Springs, downtown Atlanta, & more. It was a beautiful view!

Cooper hearing up for the hike. :)

Kyle & Coop at the top looking over Atlanta

The beautiful trail.
The picture doesn't do it justice.

On our way down.

Cooper worked hard to get up & down that mountain.
He was so dead asleep!

On the way home we stopped at a QT & got a LARGE blue slush. It was so amazingly refreshing that it's worth noting. :)

Zoo Outing

Yesterday morning Coop & I headed to the Zoo to hang out with our friends the Malans & see the fun animals.  Cooper fell asleep on the way & was totally zonked so I just kept him in his car seat & clicked him into the stroller. (Gotta love the travel system!)

Cooper was a bit confused when he woke up
& had to ride in his car seat. He was just
living up his last day as a baby. :)
I wanted to document this visit to the Zoo because it was the first time that Coop had any kind of reaction to one of the animals. We saw the Lions, Monkeys, Warthogs, etc. but he didn't seem to notice. We made our way to the Panda exhibit. I took Coop out of the stroller to walk closer to the glass so he could see. Once he saw the Momma & baby Panda he got really excited!! He started reaching out for them & immediately started jabbering. It was the cutest! We stood there & watched the Pandas eat for just a minute or two. It started to get crowded so we said goodbye to the Pandas & started walking out. Coop was not ready to leave the Pandas. He started reaching over my shoulder to try & get back to them!

the Pandas that Cooper loved!
I know this isn't much to most people by as a first time Mom who's baby is starting to become a little boy-this was huge. It's so neat to see his personality come out more & to see his opinions/likes/dislikes. He's becoming a real little guy! I know it won't always be so cute & awesome but for now-it is! :)

Can't wait to see what Coop likes at the Zoo next time! Special thanks to Erin, Finn, & Liv! :)

26 years & Thanksgiving

On Nov 21st I turned 26. That's right-26. Crazy. I remember when my sister was this age (she's 12 yrs older than me) so it's weird to think that I'm now this age.... Anywho! I have some pretty rocking friends. They know who they are & I am so grateful to have celebrated my birthday with them & some yummy cake. :) I don't know what I'd do without such amazing friends that make me laugh, listen to my ramblings, & make sure I'm still alive (Coop & I hibernate a lot).

Dad came in town for my Bday weekend. We had a good time. He took us all out for a dual birthday linner (lunch/dinner) since his bday was on the 13th. Kyle made me an amazingly delicious Sunday dinner after we went to see Gladys Knight & the Unified Voices 'revival.' (Btw it was such an awesome experience to hear & see Sis. Knight. She is so inspiring & her music...it's so hard for me to put into words how it made me feel but it was wonderful!!)

My Birthday Cookies!
(excuse the roughness. my actual birthday wasn't the best of days)

Thanksgiving 2011 will go down as the day I ate way more than I should! Wait... that's everyday.... ha! This year for Thanksgiving we went to Hartsville & ate 2 HUGE dinners in the span of 3 hours. It was so incredibly delicious & disgusting. I hope we don't have to experience that again because I'm not the best at saying no to food-especially the comfort food that we don't get much of. We had a great time with family. We did a little Black Friday shopping (it's getting to be a little too intense for my liking). Kyle enjoyed some man time with his Dad & brothers. We saw some friends. Did I mention we ate some food? ;)

Coop loves his Auntie Jen!

Meeting Auntie Caye for the first time.
I'm pretty sure he's in love. :)

We promise he loves you Auntie Jilli!
Happy Thanksgiving!

There Was a Tiger In Town...

Enjoying our Marta ride a little too much!
On Sunday afternoon I took the Marta down to the air port to pick up my dear friend Jenni! (aka Tiger) I had a cupcake ready for her when she got to our place. That night Kyle grilled a yummy dinner for us & we just sat around chatting. Well some of us were chatting... :)

:)
Jenni meeting Cooper.
(Moose is a blur because she was SO
excited to have Jenni here!)
Monday was chill. Jenni & I enjoyed a delicious lunch at Chickfila followed by some fun in World Market & WalMart. That night Marc & Pat came over for dinner. Kyle & I cooked breakfast for dinner. :) We all kept forgetting it was Halloween!

Tuesday we worked our booties off! Jenni, Coop, & I toured & hiked Stone Mountain. It was so fun to get a work out while spending time with Jenni & enjoying the outdoors. Cooper loved being in the back pack & seeing all the scenery. It's such a beautiful trail up to the top-especially with all the colorful leaves. Once at the top we were able to see all over Georgia! I am seriously proud of not only going up but also down the mountain. Coop & Jenni kept me going! :)
On our way to the TOP!

It was a bit windy.

We did it Coop! We did it!!
planking it at 1,700 feet up!
Don't ask...

Coop was exhausted after the hike.

Jenni laying back & enjoying the view at the
bottom of the mntn.

Wednesday came too soon. It was the day that Jenni had to head back home to Vegas. We didn't do a lot-mainly just enjoyed our little bit of time left together by chatting & laughing. We did meet up with Kyle, Marc, & Pat at the Varsity for lunch. Then we headed to the Temple to enjoy it's beauty. Before we knew it-Jenni had to head to the air port. Sad day.

Coop & Moose didn't want Tiger to go.

I am SO very glad that Jenni came to visit & meet Cooper. We loved having her here! She's such an amazing person & I've been so blessed to have her as a friend over the years. THANK YOU for all the goodtimes!
