Girls Camp 2010-No Fear!

I had the pleasure of going to Girls Camp as a leader! (it is still weird to be considered a leader)I LOVED camp when I was in YW. It was such a fun, spiritual, & learning experience for me. I loved everything about it! Ok maybe not the heat BUT I loved the songs, the friends, the certifications, testimony meeting, the food, etc! This experience really made me reflect on my years as a YW. It made me miss the old days A LOT.

The theme of Camp was "No Fear!" It was at a state park in Millen, Ga. Overall we had a really fun time-well at least I did! I just had to make sure all the YW were where they needed to be then I got to do whatever. :) I enjoyed pretending to be assistant nurse-or assistant TO THE nurse, who was Rachael Adams. We had a blast together! It was way fun to be able to spend a few days with some of my fave people & very interesting to see how the YW interact. It was my last major experience with all the YW (all but one YW came to camp!) before the BIG move. :( Enjoy some of the pictures!

This is the Mount Pleasant/Georgetown Crew!

Upon arriving to camp we all got a pink hair thingy. It was pretty fun to rock :)

This is the Nerd group-it was part of our skit on Knowledge & surfing.

These are some of the Surfing Chicks (we tied surfing the waves & the web together).

We all had our matching shirt on! :)

We had a refreshing pool! (remember when I said I was a leader...sometimes it was hard to act the part)

Rachael french braided my hair! First time EVER!

Again my leader skills are shining for everyone to see! ha!

Bishop Young came to visit us! We loved having him there!

Here's a collage with the rest of the pics!

Happy 3rd Anniversary!

June 8th was our 3rd Anniversary! I celebrated the day by waking up at 5am to head to Girls Camp for the week & for Kyle I believe it was just a normal day Fortunately we were able to go out to dinner the weekend before to actually commemorate the special occasion. We didn't exchange gifts this year... We were feeling rather lazy & because there is money being tied up with our upcoming move-so we decided to save it to buy something fun from Ikea! :)

Kyle & I met in December of 2004. It's hard to believe that we've known each other for 5 1/2 years now! We've had our ups & downs but it's totally worth it. I am so grateful for all that Kyle does for me & I'm realizing that more & more with him in Atlanta. (this is his 4th week)

Just some of the reasons I love Kyle:
-he motivates me
-he is a hard worker
-he listens to all of my complaining
-he's creative
-he waits for me after church (even if I do like to chat for a while with friends)
-he gets me to try new food
-he loves to travel
-he is a super planner (especially with vacations)
-he is a strong priesthood holder & knows so much about the gospel
-he is a great dad to Moose :)
-he likes to cook
-he laughs at my jokes
-he loves me :)

Here are some fun pictures to show just a fraction of the time we've spent together. I love him dearly & I can't wait to spend eternity with him.

Random

Life has been so non-stop! I wasn't expecting to be so busy especially with Kyle gone but no such luck. I really can't complain because it's taking my mind off of being separated from Kyle. Some of the things I've been up to: (I like lists)
-Working
-Spoiling Moose
-Keeping up with the Mt P YW
-Visited family in Hville
-Seminary Graduation
-Dinner with a couple of friends
-Dr. Appts
-Apartment Searching
-Beach time with friends
-Packing up boxes
-Celebrating our Wedding Anniv
-Gearing up for Girls Camp

My BBFL Rachel moved in when Kyle moved out. It's really great having her here! I think we saw each other maybe twice during Week #1 due to my crazy schedule. We've had some goodtimes together & it will be super sad to leave her in a few weeks. :(

Natalie & I hit up some 5 Guys Burgers! It took us about 2.5 hrs to eat our burgers because we were doing so much talking!

Dad came down this weekend so Saturday morning Kyle, Robert, & Dad started working on a cool wooden frame for our bed. Can't wait to see the final product.

Kyle came home for the weekend & it was so great to have him here. We went to Poogan's Porch to celebrate our 3rd Anniversary! :) They have the BEST Gouda Mac & Cheese.
